Over the years the Pioneers for Peace has received numerous awards and certificates for our outstanding work in the areas of violence prevention:

2003

In April 2003 the Pioneers were reconized by U.S. Attorney Honorable Jeffery Collins and presented with an award for our programs tremendous effectiveness,dedication,and leadership as a Project Safe Neighborhood community partner. Another monumental milestone of the past year was the Pioneers for Peace program made history by being presented with a Testimonial Resolution from Detroit City Council to be entered into the city's archives for our outstanding record of community service and our unwavering commitment to violence prevention.

2002

In 2002 the Pioneers for Peace program was also recognized by President George W. Bush and presented with the Daily Point of Light Award in tribute to our efforts of volunteerism.
